Toyota Gets First NASCAR Win In A Car

Jason Leffler took his Toyota to the front with two laps to go to give Toyota its first non-truck NASCAR win, a Busch series win at O’Reilly Race Park in Indianapolis. This may be just the stepping stone the manufacturer needs as it seeks its first Nextel Cup win.  Busch Series points leader Carl Edwards finished fourth, despite a dislocated thumb, to maintain his huge points lead. Ginn Gone

Effective immediately, Ginn Racing has been “absorbed” into DEI. Mark Martin and Aric Almirola will share time, as had previously been expected. Paul Menard and the 15 team will take over the 14 previously driven by Sterling Marlin, and the 13 team will be eliminated. Read the rest of this entry »

As we prepare for the famed Firecracker 400, now the Pepsi 400, at Daytona, I thought I’d take a chance to look at what I feel are the ten most defining moments in NASCAR history. I’m sure you may have your own set of moments, but as I think of where NASCAR has come from, moonshiners bragging rights, to where it is today, major sport in the US, these moments shine as those that made the sport what it is today.
